This program aims to equip mentees with the skills and knowledge required to prepare students for proficiency exams such as Cambridge English, IELTS, and TOEFL. The program covers teaching strategies, assessment criteria, and course design.
This program is designed for English teachers who are interested in specializing in preparing students for proficiency exams.
The program lasts 16 weeks, divided into eight modules. Each module spans two weeks. The live sessions add up to a total of 14 hours’ worth of instruction, whereas the asynchronous work will provide candidates with a total of 6 hours’ worth of material for self-study.
The live sessions will happen biweekly starting August 15th, 2024, on Thursdays, 7.00 to 8.30 pm (Sérgio) and Fridays, 4.00 to 5.30 pm (Rodrigo).
Each session focuses on a specific aspect of teaching proficiency exams. Topics range from teaching receptive and productive skills to understanding assessment criteria and course design. For a detailed breakdown, please refer to our Program Outline after registration.
